Elizabeth's gravestone was found in 1941 by Worth A. Shampeny of Rochester, Vermont. It had two insriptions:
Elizabeth, wife of D. Salls, died December 24, 1857, age 72 years.
Mr. Daniel Salls, died February 1845, age 61 years.
Nancy Otis states Elizabeth Danford above was Daniels wife, however Carroll Salls lists her as Elizabeth Tryon, same birth and death dates. There is another Elizabeth Danford who was married to George Field Salls Sr. with similar birth and death dates (but not identical). It is unknown which is correcr and if the two Elizabeth Danfords were related or even the same person? | Elizabeth DANFORD

Hannah Hawley married Isaac Salls circa 1749. Hannah Hawley died at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.
The wife of Isaac Salls was only known as Hannah from Salisbury records, but her full name was finally located within a land record recorded within the files of Leon Lalanne dated 27 July 1824. On that date, Abraham Salls and brother Jacob Salls sold land to Enock(sic) Salls. The record mentions "right of succession" and specifies "Isaac Salls and Hannah Hawley, their parents, late of Noyan aforesaid, both deceased. From an e-mail from Fred Templeton to Alan Salls dated 10/31/2004:
Jessie lived in East Granville Vt. She was killed by a train while walking from her house to ours for a bucket of water when her pipes froze. She was very agile for her age. She had a picket fence around her house about 2 feet high. I used to go to her house and chop and carry her wood after school. When I had finished she used to walk home with me for supper a couple times a week. When we went out her door she used to push me and say race you to the bridge (about a 100 yards down the road). She would run across the yard and jump the fence to get a head start. This was at 82 years old. | Jessie May MORSE
